This was the first storyboard for my graduation short. After I made this, I realised that it was way too long. After trying to make it shorter, I lost interest in the project so I decided to drop this whole idea and to start over with a new story.

Avonturen in Zagbliblör Titlesequence

So after almost 2 years of saying I will finish this thing, I have decided not to. It's a shame because it's pretty close to completion but I just don't have the time to animate those last few bits. Nonetheless, I think it still contains some pretty cool animation.

It's the titlesequence for the musical I wrote with Dennis Impink two years ago. The musical was performed by our old highschool.

Speaking of animation, all the best bits are animated by Davor Bujakovic, someone who can animate faster than his own shadow (it's true, i've seen it!).

The amazing music is done by the Belgian Joris Hermy. It was a difficult task for him to time the drums to the storyboard, but he did it and it made the sequence ten times more epic.

Sheeped Away, more farmer concept art

I showed the first storyboard to my friends at Anikey Studios last week and got a lot of good feedback. One of the things they said, was that the design of the farmer could be more gross. So here are some gross-farmer sketches:

A few weeks ago, me and my classmate Kasper Werther worked on a few character concepts for a company. Unfortunately we didn't get the assignment, but it was fun to work with Kasper on these things anyway.

Kasper made the clay models and I colored them digitally.

The Fairytale Cave

Well actually it's called "De Sprookjesgrot" but what the hell...

So, last week, me and a couple of my friends were brainstorming for a new sketch type thing. We thought; "what if a psycho killer escaped convict person wrote fairytales which were then made into an semi-animated kids show?"

Below is the result, Dutch only I'm afraid. But maybe that's for the better.

Milkman on a Monkeybrain

One big ice-cream fest!

This week, I started a biweekly blog for the students of my school, Monkeybrain Sunday. Every two weeks the theme changes so you can expect a lot of original work from the talented people that contribute :)

The first theme I chose was "Ice-cream". Why? I have no idea, I was under the influence of voodoo last week. Anyway, I made this weird piece. I really like it because of the truck. I usually suck at cars and other things on wheels but this came out pretty well.

Back in the days, we sure had a great time. Going on all sorts of adventures, talking all night and of course the hot steamy item combinations...

But then came the break-up.

For almost ten years you left me alone to drown in my tears. I really had a hard time and almost did the unthinkable... but then you came back...

Tales of Monkey Island was announced and I was reunited with my good old pirate love!

Anyway, I did these Monkey Island and Sam & Max related valentine cards for a contest on the Telltale forums. I like how they turned out so when I have the time (haha yeah right) maybe I'll do some more.
